Dear Parent, Carer or Responsible Adult,
It is time for the second 10-pin bowling competition of 2025, held here at the Garioch Tenpin.
It will be held on Sunday 11th May 2025, starting at 10am. The exact format of the competition will depend on the number of entries we receive, but we estimate an end time of 3pm at the latest. It will cost £5 each to enter the competition.
We will be using the “handicapping system” to ensure that every entrant, regardless of their bowling ability, will have an equal chance of winning. This means that we will need to keep note of 3 games scores for each bowler in order to work out each players “handicap”. If you already have 3 of your scores, please attach them at the bottom of the entry form. If you don’t have your scores, please ask a member of staff to record your score on your entry form at the end of your game.
If your bowler(s) would like to take part please fill in the entry form attached. There is also a permission slip for photos to be taken to use on our social media to help promote future events.
We will have a break during the competition for lunch, if you would like to order a meal, please fill in the meal form also attached to this letter. The meals can be ordered for the bowlers and anyone attending with them. Please add names for each meal so we can ensure everyone gets the correct meal ordered. You are also more than welcome to bring a packed lunch as we understand not everyone’s dietary requirements or allergies can be met with this menu.
The set up may be different for this competition as it has been becoming more popular and we can only fit a maximum of 48 bowlers at one time. If we get more entries than this, the you will receive an email stating your start time as we will need to have 2 rounds so everyone can take part.
Don’t worry if this date is not suitable for you, we aim to have up to 2 more competitions this year.
